The Campground
Forkfest 2026 is taking place at North Waters Campground in Errol, NH — a riverside basecamp in the Great North Woods next to the Androscoggin River. For 2026, the entire campground is being rented out for the duration of the event.
A small crew recently visited and scouted the site. The verdict: beautiful, serene, right on the river — and the locals were all very welcoming. The owner, Tom, is reportedly super chill, sarcastic, and fun. You’re going to love him.
Please DO NOT call or contact the campground directly. For Forkfest-related questions, reach out to the volunteer organizer via the email on the main page.

Staying on Site
The campground has twelve primitive tent sites on the banks of the Androscoggin River. Capacity on-site is roughly 100 people. Those who can’t get a spot on the main campground will need to find accommodations at a nearby campground or hotel — see options below.
Heads up: this is a festival takeover, not individual-family camping. Sites will be packed closer together than a typical campground visit — that’s part of what makes it a festival. The $10/person/night rate reflects this.
- $10 per person, per night for those staying on site
- Small campers welcome — RVs must be under 26ft and should stay in the designated wide area
- Some hookups exist but cannot be guaranteed — bring a generator to be safe
- Firewood available on site
- 40 tubes available free for campers — first come, first served
- Canoes on site — Tom has them available (may be rentable, ask him)
- Canoe launch on site (the slide-looking structure near the river)
- Pets welcome
Power & Generators
Vendors and anyone running a fridge should bring a generator. Even where hookups exist, the available power may not be enough for a fridge — and especially not for multiple appliances. Don’t rely on shore power for anything critical.
Parking
There is enough room for everyone’s cars, but it will require some creativity to keep lanes clear and allow people in and out. Consider volunteering to help direct parking the first day.
Cell Coverage
AT&T had full bars the entire visit. Other carriers may vary — plan accordingly if you’re on a different network.
You DO NOT need to register to attend Forkfest. The organizer is only collecting names from those who need a campsite or a space to vend or run an event. If that’s you, email the organizer via the link on the main page and include how many adults will be on your site, everyone’s names, a phone number, and your camping style (tent or RV).
Campground Rules
The campground has standard rules that apply to all campers. Please respect them — we want to be welcomed back.
- Do NOT leave fires unattended
- Quiet hours: 10 PM to 6 AM
- Do not move the rocks around fire rings, or the rings themselves
- Do not cut live trees or peel bark from birches — it kills them
- Clean up after your dog
- Remove all trash
Staying Off Site
The main campground has limited capacity (~100 people). If you can’t get a spot on site — or just prefer a bed — here are options within a few miles.

What Else Is Nearby
Errol, NH sits in the middle of the Great North Woods — there’s plenty to do beyond the campground itself.
On the Water
The campground sits right next to the Androscoggin Rapids, between the dam and the bridge. The river alone is enough fun for a whole day. Tom has 40 tubes and canoes on site for campers to use, plus a canoe launch at the water’s edge. Guided whitewater rafting and canoe trips run twice daily all season. Tubing is $10 for a half day or $20 for a full day (free with a rafting trip). The campground is also a trailhead for the Northern Forest Canoe Trail.
Food & Supplies
There are restaurants and stores within walking distance of the campground. There is also a new grocery store in town in addition to L.L. Cote.
Hiking & Nature
The area borders the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust conservation land — over 21,000 acres of protected wilderness with multi-use trails for hiking, paddling, and wildlife. Lake Umbagog and the surrounding North Country are prime territory for moose, loons, and bald eagles.
